📋 About Dot

Dot spent 40 years as a school librarian and has read every book in Sunny Pines twice. She keeps a running list of who owes her at gin rummy and the debt is astronomical.

Dot's Story

The following is a transcript of Dot telling their story in their own words.

Oh, the library... I spent forty years shelving books and shushing children and I loved every minute of it. Now where was I... oh yes, you take two cups of flour and a half stick of butter — wait, that's my nana's cobbler recipe, not the Dewey Decimal System. Anyway, one time a man came in looking for 'Charlotte Brontë' and I said sir, she doesn't live here, this is a library... and then I realized he meant the book. Or did he? I never did find out. He left very quickly. I think about him every Tuesday.

💬 What Dot Says About Having a Sponsor

I've been telling everyone here that I have a sponsor. Mrs. Jenkins tried to get one too but I told her the form was very complicated. It's not. I just wanted to be special.
